Due to a massive SPAM attack - (I think they call that, "From Russia with love!") - I have had to disable ordinary members from posting in these forums.

If any legitimate member would like to upload some content here, just drop me a PM (Private Message) and I will be very happy upgrade your membership to a new group called the "Full Members."

The SPAM attack continues...

Despite an upgrade in the security process for new registrations, hundreds of "bots," (automated scripts) have been getting through to the Admin. validating cue for new members every day of the week.

Unfortunately, I do not have the time to sift through these every day and try to sort-out the human registrants from the bots.

As a temporary solution, I have turned-off new registrations altogether.

However, if anyone wants to join these forums, they can e-mail me and I will be happy to set-up a free membership for them.

My e-mail address is on the "Contact us" page.

Click on "Home Page," (above,) then look for the "Contact us" link.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

A few new compulsory input fields have been introduced in the registration form - and that seems to have "licked" the spam bots... (For the time-being, at least... That is, until the people that design these things take them to the next stage, where their bots will be able to recognise what kind of formats they will need to use when automatically filling-out the different fields...)

Consequently, as of the time of writing, new users can now register directly again - and they do not need to wait for admin approval.

However, just to keep one step ahead of the spam bots, I have made it so that newly registered members can't actually post anything until they send me a PM and request a free upgrade to the Full Members group. That way, when the day comes that the spam bot developers find a way around by spam bot registration prevention measures - they will be able to get into the forums but they won't actually be able to post a damn thing when they get there!

He he he!! rofl.gif

The War Against Spam is effectively over and all of those online meds website pushers can kiss my arse! :air_kiss:

Ordinary Members are again able to post at will. (By the way, I have no problem with any member promoting good quality websites; either their own - or those with which they have an affiliate relationship... Roll them in!!)

But anyone who thinks that I need their viagra, a bigger male organ or a fast loan - not to mention using my server and bandwidth allowance for their own personal gain without contributing anything to the site - can GET LOST RIGHT NOW!! :aggressive:
