I'm posting this for the benefit of my favorite top-class koi dealers in Japan:

If you are in Kyushu, Japan, get yourself over to the city of Kokura, in the North of the island. Take a short train ride to a very small town called Ishida, just a few short miles outside of the city. Just before the train pulls into the station, keep your eye open for a billboard with some pictures of koi on it. That's Rishou-en and they are just a short walk from the railway station.

Well worth a visit and if you can speak even a modicum of Japanese, you can call Matsumoto-san on:

If you can't speak Japanese, don't worry! When you get there, Matsumoto-san's son speaks pretty good English.

Even if you don't by a single pellet of koi food, you will be made very welcome - just for showing the slightest interest in the wonderful world of Nishiki-goi!
